A Sticky Situation.............

I'm going on a trip, so I won't get to update for about the next week and a half. I thought I would leave you with a few random thoughts before I go. Please leave me lots of comments about how much I'm missed...and how life isn't the same without me...and how you never want me to leave again. Yeh...I think that would be really nice of all my friends. LOL

So...I had the best day yesterday. I slept in, and had donuts and chocolate milk for breakfast while I watched Jeopardy. I don't watch it much, but I must say I always enjoy it. Somehow I just feel smarter watching stuff like that! LOL There's always that ONE question that you actually store in your brain for future use. Ya know..the kind of moments when you're with a group of people who intimidate you with their vast knowledge of an aray of NOT so interesting subjects. Suddenly you're able to add something interesting to the conversation because by some miracle you have retained just enough information about a country called Modova or the average length of a Blue Whale or some other form of totally useless information, to fool them all into thinking that you are on the same level of intelligence that they are. It's a great moment. You should try it sometime. It's well worth the 30 minutes. (To all my English major friends..I allow myself run-on sentences and begining sentences with conjunctions and all sorts of other NO NO's on this blog. So get over it!) Anyway..then I went shopping! Yeah! I found a FREE ice cream coupon in my purse...so off to Baskin Robbin's I went for lunch! Then I went to a concert and hung out with my friends. It was a perfect day.

But...while I was eating the ice cream cone I began to wonder about something. Have you ever noticed that little peice of GLUE on the side of the cone that holds the little decorative paper on? Well..I looked at that and wondered..."Is this stuff really safe to eat?" I mean, is it a special kind of edible glue or do we just not consume enough of the TOXIC substance to affect us? And if it isn't edible and is in fact TOXIC ..what if I had gone back and had say...oh...another 3 or 4 or 5 cones? Would it then become dangerous? I thought, maybe people eat around it. Maybe people peel it off the cone before they eat it. I tried that. It didn't work. I began chomping on the cone as I pondered this..knowing that with each bite I got closer and closer to "THE POISON." Suddenly I had a reasuring thought. I must have eaten a thousand cones in my lifetime so far, and this had never proved to be a problem. What was I so worried about? I told myself to just not think about it, stop being a woosy and EAT IT! So...being the obedient person that I am, (HAHA) I took the plunge and downed the last bit of the cone. Guess what! The glue got stuck in my teeth. Yeh..never had that happen before. When I bit down, my teeth stuck together and I had to stick my fingers in my mouth to get my jaw open and get the glue out of my teeth. I know this was an extrememly graphic story, and I'm sure that at least some of my readers will find it offensive. At this point..I don't really care. I thought it was pretty funny. I laughed at myself all the way home. I'm not exagerating. I really did have to stick my fingers in my mouth to pry open my jaw! i'm sure you all really wanted to know that. It's late. I think I'll probably regret telling this story later.

Love you all! Have a great week! I'll see ya soon.
