BORING

I don't like to resort to this surveys because it requires little effort on my part, and you have to listen to a lot of boring information about me. Unfortunately I have been TAGGED. And since it's Christmas and all...I suppose just this once I could indulge the sad people in my life who have nothing better to do than read about whether I like Hot chocolate or egg nog. I apologize to all the people who read my blog for more entertaining and intelligent reasons. However I DO LOVE YOU ALL!

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot Chocolate. BOTH! I LUV EGG NOG, it should be a year round beverage!


2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Um..I don't believe in Santa..but everyone should WRAP! I love to open pretty presents.


3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? I love white lights, but it costs too much to buy lights for the whole house, so we use lights from years past. It's a virtual cornicopia of colors!


4. Do you hang mistletoe? Once, but it didn't work.


5. When do you put your decorations up? As soon as possible. Is July too early?


6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? Anything with cheese or chocolate or whip cream...I dunno..Don't be cruel and make a fat girl choose just ONE. I just noticed that it said "excluding dessert."


7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? I have very few Childhood Christmas memories for some reason. I would have to say that my best Christmas memories started when I started throwing an annual Christmas party. But..if you must know..both sides of the family came and stayed at our house for Christmas. We had about 50 people all together. We played games all day and watched movies together and for some reason all the women got together and made up a dance to perform for the rest of the family. Unfortunately I WAS a part of that, and YES there are pictures. Me in my green handpainted holiday outfit with a big red bow in my hair. Sure you're thinking..Awww, but I was 14!


8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I really don't remember ever believing in Santa. Honestly.


9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? NO WAY HOSEA!

10. What kind of cookies does Santa get set out for him? Again..didn't believe in Santa, but if I had I would have left him..sugar cookies. They're my least favorite. I'm such a giver.


11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? LOVE IT! Especially the First Snow. It's very romantic for some reason. I think it's because it's kind of magical how the snow floats in the air. But by February..I'm ready for the trees to be green again. If only we could have green trees, fragrant flowers and snow at the same time. That would be a perfect world.

12. Can you ice skate? I've never tried, and I'm scared to death to. Although I had many childhood dreams of being an olympic skater. I'm really TOO honest aren't I? Let the jests begin.


13. Do you remember your favorite gift? E-Z Bake Oven, Strawberry Shortcake doll, and my first portable cd player were some of my earlier ones. Lately I would have to say the colorful striped scarf I got two years ago.

14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? BUYING PRESENTS! I wait all year to buy just the right thing for people. I really try to get my friends and family something that's unique to their personality. Keep in mind that I said ...I TRY..I don't always SUCCEED.


15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? I don't know if this counts, but I love those chocolate covered Santa's.


16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Decorating the tree usually includes a family fun night filled with specialty foods, Christmas movies and hot cocoa. Why do almost all the answers to these questions end up being about food?

17. What tops your tree? Nothing at the moment. Our golden angel finally LOST her wings last year, so we are currently holding open auditions for the crowning posistion. So far a Charlie Brown inspired star I made out of cardboard and spray painted foil is in the lead.


18. Which do you prefer Giving or Receiving? GIVING GIVING GIVING..I really honestly could go without the whole recieving thing. Well..at least from my friends. LOL My family still has to fork over the cash.


19. What is your favorite Christmas Carol? It's easier to name the ones I don't like and you can just assume that I like all the others. I don't like..The First Noel, O Holy Night, The Little Drummer Boy..and I'm sure there are more but I'm bored now.

20. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum? YUCK..unless they're like pina colada flavored or something.
